marysedube My first 2021 « coup de cœur » album. Loving this one. On some songs, Katia Krow brilliantly blends folk (guitar) and glitch electro elements. Some other tracks are pure ambient bliss with subtle noisy sounds to give a little kick. Other tracks are ambient with a heavier background with environmental sounds such as a person walking or a distant closing door. I like the diversity of this album while being coherent. I couldn’t resist to buy. Favorite track: Everything I've Seen Needs Rearranging.

You Are Dead 03:56

about

They said they were innocent,
fawn-like, doe-eyed.
Tragic circumstances
left them hanging
in an orchard,
keds slipped off,
gathering the offal
of their decomposing corpse.
The wind makes pretty pirouettes
of their slightly mangled toes,
suggesting some of that lost innocence.

Shrouded in mourning,
as one wrapped in a shower,
excused from all banter,
and numb without wonder.
Arms weak as if wounded,
small cuts loud reminders,
all trespass is forgiven,
all vice cured with blinders.

New equity found,
as those left now appreciate,
shared lot the value,
which all will reciprocate.
Yesterday's grudge,
for the gone and the here,
waived as the trivial
a notion so mere.
Newly discovered,
this country of souls,
invested with beauty,
weeping through tolls.

they've called off the search, they know exactly where you are.

you are dead, rolled over in an empty hole.
